W202 C200 ball joint

Hi, i need to replace a bottom ball joint on my 1998 C200.
Any advice / tips would be great. Also do you need any special tools?

no special tools look up on youtube on a how too it will help you

Don't do it like the vid.

Undo the lower nut.

Beat the end of it very hard until the joint is loose in the hole.

Lever it out of the hole

Pull the hub out of the way

Undo the top nut

Hit it hard again with a hammer to remove it from the arm.

Bingo

Don't worry about supporting the lower arm it won't go anywhere.

We have got it down to about 40 seconds to replace one. I have done a few hundred though!!
