W202 C230 engine upgrade

Hi all!

I have been searching all over the place for an answer to my idea but to no avail.

I have a 97 w202 C230 Sport its fine runs well she's high miles at almost 200k but im really looking for a bit of extra power I'd really like to make her a 230k for a that supercharger noise. So im asking how simple would it be to swap out the 230 engine for the 230k engine and parts needed? I can do all the work myself but I would really aprreciate any first hand expriance from doing it e.g parts needed etc but heres my thoughts so far

Option 1. Try and supercharge the existing engine if at all possible although I dont really want to be doing that to a 200k engine anyway Id rather keep it aside and put it back in if i were to sell the car keep it standard.

Option 2. Find a 230k engine would it need to be a w202 230k exactly or can a later 230k from like a w203 or an slk 230k do the job as well? Only issue I can see from looking at pictures is that my throttle is cable operated and the 230k looks as if its electronic.

Option 3. Athough not really what im after ive heard putting in a C280 engine is fairly straight forward.

Any help would be great thanks.

I'd personally not worry about the engine and get some 17" monoblocks on there sharpish You cannot have a c36 kitted car without them, it's the law !

With regards to the engine, I believe the 230 is the old style engine so would probably be easier to get a m104, if you are going that route you may as well go for the 3.2 !

If you had the 2.2 m111 then a early m111k would be a more or less straight swap bar some fabrication.

Although unless you have the skills to do it yourself any engine swap will not be cost effective by any stretch.

Yeah mine is the m111 2.3 150bhp

If you are prepared to deal with rust and want a bullet proof c230k sport, I will be offloading mine. Engine has done 225k. Original engine, original kompressor, original 5 speed auto box. pm me if you are interested. Mechanically my car is fine. It even has 17" staggered amg style 2's on it.

Thanks for the offer but im just really looking for the engine to swap plus Im looking for something with less miles than my own engine which is at almost 200k also.
