Hi Everyone,

Ok got my cd changer today delivered. Opened up the trunk panel and found one wire which was skinny and plus into the small port of the changer

There are 2 ports...the bigger one I assume is for the fiber optic and that one I cannot find. I was told it doesnt come with it and needs to be purchased then wired all in then programmed to the whole system blink.gif

So wheres the "plug n play"?

This is for a 1999 C230 W202

hey buddy if your car is a real 99 then u should have the fibre optic cable it's colored orange my C43 is a 99 had to buy my cd changer separetly it was just simple plug/n/play. but mb quality sucks nowadays if i turn the radio off sometimes when i want to listen to cd's it doesen't reckognize the cd it says no cd even if the cartridge is full. i always let the stereo on when i turn the car of the stereo dies with the ignition off,so far the cd changer allways worked perfectly this way, cheers.

whats the naim of the game,it's simple= naim hifi

I found one skinny wire which plugs in but I cant find the fibre optic one. Im looking on the right side looking into the trunk.

Where is the fibre optic orange cable hiding? The only orange thing I saw was something tucked in the wall of the trunk and it had a orange cap on it but wasnt a wire.

As far as I know, the car does not come with the fibre optic cable in place. You need to purchase it and fit it yourself. As for programming, there shouldnt really need to be any unless you want to have the thing controlled by the steering wheel controls if you have them on your vehicle.

[email protected] can supply the cable for you if yo tell him exactly what CD changer you have and what your head unit is.
