Hi all,
I've been reading about the benefits of installing oil catch cans on pretty much any engine.
I have a 1999 w202 with the m111 2.0 unit. I've studied the workshop manual and various threads, but I am not sure about the location of the various crankcase emission control components.
I think "K" models have a separate oil separator unit, which they need due to higher compression and therefore blowby. On my N/A engine the manual suggests something similar is built into the block, and cam cover.
All I have connecting engine and intake are three hoses. One very oily one cam cover > intake, one into the side of the throttle body, and another into the throttle body (which seems to just be the brake booster vac hose). See pics below:
So I assume I splice my catch can into the cam cover hose - or should I consider splicing the small hose going into the side of the throttle body too?
