W202 dash digital clock problem..

Last couple of days when I've gone to the car to start it the digital clock has set itself to a random time. Not losing or gaining, just a seemingly random time displayed?
Any ideas?

I think so.. Starts ok etc. Lights stay bright. Dim very slightly if I put heater fan on full when car is cold.?
