I have a quiery regarding eis on w202 would it be possible to put pre facelift ignition barrel if the eis is removed? Does the imobliser disarm when the doors are opened? Or when key is in ignition?

The key as far as i,m aware is the immobilser, I have always thought of it as part of the ECU that just happens to be removable.

so would it be possible to put pre facelift ignition lock in my facelift. Basically i am finding a way to bypass the alarm

Bypassing the alarm is the easy bit, how will you bypass the immobilser?

May be an ecu remap which will disable the imobliser? It can be done

The EIS isn't a simple immobiliser. As Andy says, it's very linked to the ECU over the CAN.
Somehow you would need to send the appropriate CAN signals to activate the ECU and START and then the STOP cycle.

I have thought would the ecu pick up a second EIS if it was exact same as the orignal and attach the new EIS to the remote start?

wont work, as far as i know the EIS knows the ECU and vice versa they come programmed up to you specific car from the dealers. There are companies out there that can do this for you.

not as simple as just swapping out tho

Hi alps the problem is no one wants to touch them and the ones who can do it want stupid money. There was a company in the US who made a bypass for the W210 on a trail basis and got everything working I don't think there is any difference in the w210 and w202 system but that bypass was plug n play

Why on earth do you want remote start?

Why wouldn't you want one for?

a straight answer for you.

No you cannot. Its a completely new generation of wiring/equipment!
