Dear All,
I have a w202 220D Elegance Auto, 1995. Over the last year the windows have stopped working, one by one. The relays still click and there is power to the motors. I have had the door panels off and cleaned all the runners and lubricated them with silicon spray. I managed to get all four motors working (tapped them with a toffee hammer) The motors work, when not under load, but very slow when put back into position eventually stopping again over the following week. Any ideas ?
Also the rear headrests don’t drop anymore. Similarly they click but don’t drop.

Thanks “team” look forward to your replies.

this is all powered by the conveniance relay..

might be a bad earth - a multimeter will show 12 volts - but as theres high resistance on the earth, and load will increase current = reduce voltage at the motor...

sorry - no idea where the earth bond is.. might be above the throttle pedal... under back seats..

for the earth bond or other el-schema, there is this link (search a bit and you'll find a lot of el-schema), probably someother member know already.
