w202 Facelift bumper on a pre-facelift

Today I fitted my facelift front bumper (from Shude) onto my pre-facelift.

Was a knightmare undoing the semi-rusted srews, but anyway.

After I fitted it, the sides stick out about 1.5cm each side. Why is this? do I need new side rails (from a faclift model) or as the bumper warped?

If I need new side rails, does anyone have the part numbers?

You might find that the rails need to be filed so they have more movement, this is what we did with koolvin's C43 bumpers to make them fit on his pre-facelift w202.

Sounds good! I got myself some silver facelift elegance bumpers luckily, and I have bought some C36 AMG skirts, seems a good combination to put on, so I'm gonna give it a go! Also got a comand unit aswell, which will soon need to go in!
