Hi,

Can anyone help? I have a 96 C200 (manual) which i have owned for over 3 years. In all that time the the lights behind the heater controls have never worked! I have tried on numerous occasions to remove the facia panel to replace any bulbs etc.. but have been unable to remove it. Each time I seem to get to a stage when it seems the only way to remove it is to force it away from it's fixings with a flat screwdriver, however i am reluctant to do this as it would damage the wooden facia. Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Andy

Just pull the knobs off. The little bulbs are under a tiny flap.

Yep, mine did this. A piece of cloth etc. (stops scratches) and some mole grips onto the two heater controls and they pull straight out. then you'll just need to prise the little bulb out from under the white flap that's revealed.

Really easy fix :)

Just changed the bulbs, what an idiot!! why did I not change these three years ago??? Mind you, you do have to have a degree in gynocology to change the bulbs, and yes, the plastic flaps did break.

Many thanks.

If you have a degree in gynocology you should be well aware that the flaps always break on first entry...
