W202 Fitting front-end facelift parts to pre-facelift

Hi all,

I stupidly went into the back of someone and now I need to fit a new bonnet, bumper, headlight and grill to my 1997 W202.

I've found someone on eBay selling the parts I need but they're all facelift parts (1999), just wondering if these would fit straight on or need modifying? or am i better off sourcing pre-facelift parts?

I've done a bit of reading around on the site with regards to fitting facelift parts to a pre-facelift but most of the posts talk about the front bumper which I understand needs a bit of filing to make it fit.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

i am not sure on the body panels but i know the headlights are different as in they are wired differently somebody had fitted an pre face lift version on the o/s to my 2000 w202 and the bulb positions were all wrong the main beam/front fog were wrong way compared to original headlight,i have the pre face lift headlight somewhere in my garage i think if you are interested in it there is nothing wrong with it from what i can remember and it is o/s/f.
