w202 front pads

ive just changed my front pads and discs on my 1999 c280 mercedes all went well but now the pads squeal after theve been used a few times .i used copper ease on the edges of the pads (apec) and also the backs .anyone else had this problem

How worn are the discs? Did you bed them in sufficiently, i.e gentle driving and braking for 500 miles?

On Mercs, the discs usually cause the squealing by resonating.

did your old pads have thin s/steel plates on the back when you removed them, some do this as an anti vibration shim.
