Hi, I tried to help my father out by changing the headlight bulb on his C220 (1995). However, the quick fix ended up being a nightmare as the bulb would not come out of the bulb holder and the bulb lug snapped! Even using long nosed pliers and WD40, I have not been able to remove the remaining piece of lug from the bulb holder and therefore not able to insert the new one. I have no idea what is holding this in.
I asked MB parts and they say that the whole headlamp has to be changed at a cost around £200. I am therefore wandering if anybody else has suffered from this problem if anyone has ideas on how to get round this issue.
