W202 - Identifying part - Inner Track Rod Joint?

Morning all,

I have an MOT coming up and some slight play on my track rod inner joint - not the track rod end - It looks like the rod itself unbolts from the centre part (drag link?) so I can just replace it

Perhaps i'm getting the terminology wrong, I'm having trouble finding a track rod via GSF or Euros (they only have track rod ends).

Presumably the track rod itself is available as a part from someone?

Just thought I'd double check with you knowledgeable folk before I ask my local motor factor.

Hi Steve,

On the W202, only the entire drag link is available which comes complete with track rod ends or as you have found just the track rod ends.

Drag link part number is A2024600405 (part 56 in diagram below)

Thanks: That's a shame because the entire drag link is very expensive, and looks to involve more spannering than just a track rod
