Hi folks

The indicators on my C36 have decided to stop working. When I put the indicators to either left or right the corresponding arrows on the dash don't flash and the indicators don't work.

Any ideas what's causing this? Maybe a loose connection on the stalk? Not sure if it's been a common problem - I've searched this site but can't find anything similar.

Possibly the stalk or a relay. check the basics first like the fuse.

Hi,
Do your hazards still work?

The hazards don't work from the switch. However, my indicator lights flash when I lock the car with the remote.

Replace the hazard switch, as i would say it is defective

The indicators don't work from the stalk either.

Indicators are fed via the hazard switch if switch becomes defective it can cause there failure.

Cheers Andy - I didn't know that.

I'll get it checked out.

Just to finish this thread off (and maybe to help someone in future who has the same issue), I took the car into a Merc Specialist who advised I need a new relay as the old one has corroded.

Phew, not too expensive!

What's corroded on the relay ?

If it's the connection pins , where the relay pushes in , give them a rub off with some emery paper , should fix it and be cheaper ...
