W202 interior blower regulator

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me where is the interior blower regulator on a pre-facelift (1994) W202. I have some fan speed problems (in pos. 2. the speed drops to like pos. 1. after a couple of mins. after engine start), checked the motor according to the infos found here and Haynes. It seems OK. There is no regulator on the motor itself .

Hi,

I have actually found out where it is and what causes the problematic operation.

It is a resistor pack just beside the throttle unit by the fusebox in engine bay.
If the blower is in pos. 2. the regulator gets so hot that a bi-metal connection breaks causing the blower speed drop to like pos.1. If I blow some air to the regulator to cool it down, the speed is normal again.

I will try sort out a spare part from my local independent partshop.
