W202 - Kinked Seal & Squeaky Seat

1. I've noticed a kink on my NSR window seal and thinking of changing it as there's windoise. Anybody knows the part no for it? DIYable or better get somebody to do it? My level of competency as per Haynes is about 2/3 spanners.

2. My front passenger seat squeaks whenever somebody is sitting on them. Not all the time but only heard going through rough patch/bumpy roads, which we have a lot in Glasgow. really annoying esp with the wifey sits there, makes the car feels cheap, she says...any suggestion?

its DIY-able. open the window and then just pull seal up - be carefull not to damage paintwork....

speak to Ricky at mercman for a second hand jobbie....

yours will be the matt version - same as the one on th esports - dont get a elegance version.... as that is black chrome...

I can give you a part number if you wish to buy new.

The seat can easily be removed! 4 bolts for seat and one bolt for seat belt - you should be able to remove the seat in a few minutes!

No need to remove the door card? hmm..sounds do-able. Didn't realise that there's a different version for the window seal, would appreciate the part no for the esprit.

Also noticed that the some of the windows are scratched. Would the parts from your squeaky window thread be used on the facelifted model? Do you remember how much you got it for then?Sqeeky Window Annoyance Fixed

Have sorted the seat, the culprit is the seat belt buckle. Some lubrication and it goes quite..no more squeaky seats :bannana:
