W202 needs a new MAF

I've got a C180 it's a 1998 model. The MAF was replaced by the previous owner with a cheapo unit. It's started to fail so I've disconnected it, misfiring, rough idle. The car runs much better but is it safe to run with it disconnected (for a week)?

Also how can I get a replacement Bosch one when I can't get the part number from the cheap copy that's currently fitted? Where's the best place to buy & how much?

Go to Eurocarparts.com (search on google), they do good quality MAF's for around £150ish, or you could buy the original merc one for £250 or so .

Hi,
Ensure they get you Bosch unit as a replacement.
It should be ok with the MAF disconnected for a short period.
