Hi guys.
It's ok, I'm not going to start whining, I love my Benz too much. I just have this little problem.
When I pull away in my W202 C180 Esprit, I get a little squeaking noise that sounds like it would be in time with the rotation of the UJ's on the prop/drive shaft. It happens when the car has been run for a while, when she's cold..... nothing.
I may be overreacting as the wife says she hasn't heard anything, but the noise is definately there. Also, it only happens when pulling away, lasts for about 2-3 seconds and then everything's normal again and I'm not getting any vibration. I took the car to Dorchester and back yesterday with the wife, 2 kids (both 15) and mother in law on board. Apart from the 2-3 second squeak, nothing.
The car was M.O.T'd on the 19th March and they didn't pick anything up either, and I trust my Indie with my life.
Anybody got any ideas? :dk:

Problem is there is very little to go on, unless one gets under and physically
do the checks.

My first thought was; Tinnitus.

Good point kth286. Definately not Tinnitus. Ha Ha. I think it's time to take a trip to my Indie and get him to check those items specifically.
Could it possibly be a lubrication problem?
