Hi all,

When starting on these freezing mornings, sometimes i hear a very faint, but noticable screeching or squeeking sound coming from the engine... it only does it when i rev it slightly, and only lasts for the first 10-20 seconds from when the engine was initially switched on and then it goes away.

It doesn't concern me cuz the car is running flawlessley and starts perfectly every single time since i bought it. It is due for a service in about 2k miles... thinking to book it in early... what u guys think?

Thanks in advance

Check the fan belt first.

Could be so much - alternator/water pump/tensioner bearings spring to mind first . Even a cold fan belt can protest a bit .
