Wondered if anyone knows how to repair fob, works fine to unlock car but car won't recognise when inserted in ignition. Other fob is ok and thin emergency one turns ignition fine so guessing its that key at fault. Any help appreciated

    Hi,
The circuit board of these keys can be removed quite easily, I would take the circuit board out and with a magnifying glass inspect the board components and run a small soldering iron over the solder joints to eliminate any possible dry joints, or loose board components. The components are surface mounted so care will have to taken.

Think I will stick to using fob to open and card to start for a while, save some bucks
