Car
BMW E91 325d and Alpina E46 B3s. Still miss my C43 AMG Estate - Azurite Blue
When I went to replace one of my heated washer nozzles on the C43, I found that both nozzles cables are joined into a single plug. The replacement Nozzle (item 92/95, A202 860 12 47) had it's own plug....which didn't fit the car wiring harness socket.

Looking at the EPC, there seems to be a 'plate' - item 107 on the picture below, A126 820 11 11 which seems to fit at the rear of the bonnet but it's not on my car. Before I start cutting & shutting into 1 plug, do any of you know if this is the thing that the 2 nozzle heater plugs should connect to and be connected to the car wiring harness?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Hi,
I believe the pic shows what is fitted when the entire heated washer bottle and jet system option is fitted unless you have a heated washer bottle which can be recognised by heating element pipes in the top of the washer bottle which are plumbed into the engines coolant system, I don,t believe you will have the part 107. I realise that the 202 had heated washer jets I would of thought that this part of the system would be fitted.

I didn't know that the heated washer bottle is an option. Indeed, both my w202's have this system, so it could be related to country of destination and part of the standard equipment. It does get somewhat colder and for longer periods here than on your "island" :D

Hi,
Yes you will see two short rubber pipes going to a heat exchanger affair that is in the washer bottle, the two short rubber pipes will connect to a couple of steel pipes, and at least one of these steel pipes goes across the back of the engine behind the firewall and connects to the heater circulation pump.
I have been thinking of retro fitting this to my 43, but if IIRC some of the steel pipes are not available any more.

Bumping this thread - the left hand washer nozzle on my C43 sprays out the front from under the nozzle - I have ordered the replacement part, now is this a job that's easy enough to do myself, and just a matter of un clipping and clipping back together?

I'd be interested to know if the power cables for both jets went into a common plug....
