W202 Wiper not working and stalk hot

Pretty much as above except that the stalk has cooled down now and there is no signs of life from the wiper. The indicators work as does the screenwash (just no wiper to wipe it with).

What is it likely to be? stalk, electronics or wiper?

Probably stalk switch melted like in picture below, to investigate, open stalk, see… Wiper has started working on it's own - Mercedes-Benz Owners' Forums

Yup, that's the one. Got a replacement off eBay and it's now on the car. Now all I have to do is get the piston working. New linkage, I suspect.
