My C36 journey continues...

We've got the engine back together, it turns over but won't spark and we've got it down to the wiring loom for the ignition coil packs.

Is there a repair kit for this and if there is, where are they sold?

Aren't these the same wiring looms as the W124?

You could buy the repair kits at the dealer

If the coil loom is poor the rest of it will be too. We always replace the whole loom. I would not waste your money on the repair kit.

£25 for the kit from the dealer.

Full loom is £750+ vat from the dealer...

I'd have a go at making a loom myself for that price , its only some bits of wire and plugs.

Speak to IBW , he's made looms before ( for 124's granted , but it's all the same )

Looms are tricky to make but do-able if you have the time. It will take ages. To have all the correct colour wires will still be important for future testing I think.

Maybe a Motorsport loom company can help. They often make bespoke looms.

That is a lot of money. Do they have stock as they often don't with looms?

Didn't ask if they were in stock to be honest, I was too busy having a heart attack as soon as the price was mentioned.
