W203 2002 C220CDI compressor problem

I've been told that the compressor on my C220CDI (W203) is faulty and needs replacing, hence no air con over the summer.

I'm going to look around before I buy to see if I can get one cheaper than £400 that aftermarket sales are selling them for.
I've seen some on ebay but the part numbers advertised are not the same as mine so I don't know if they will fit.
I've been told that the compressors off other merceds cars should fit but wanted to check.
The numbers I've managed to find on my compressor are 447 220 8224 and 11c 40426.
3 questions
1/ Will any compressor fit?
2/ Are the numbers I gave correct part numbers, if not does anyone have the correct part number for the car?
3/ Does anyone know where I can locate one? I spoke to Mercman and they didn't have one.

Is your W203 a 203.006 or 203.008? In any case those part numbers don't look right. You didn't find any A 00x xxx xx xx number?

Well i bought one for mine from ebay for 240 euros. a doddle to fit, and one year later still cold as ice. i did manage to match up the part numbers though

My Car is a W203.006.
Of course if anyone knows where I can get one for 240 Euros, that seems extreely reasonable.

Search for "Klimakompressor w203" in ebay, and one pops right out. I bought mine from a German eBay shop called Autoklima24.
