Bought this about 2 wks ago 32000 on clock Full MBSH Thursday lost all drive and revs redline after slight acceleration. Moving into neutral and allowing revs to drop then back into D enabled me to proceed to Leeds main MB dealers Strastone via several repeat events, where 4 hours later they said had replaced "electronic plate" duh! and it was OK. Friday M1 outside lane at 70+ goes again. Brown trouser moment, this is a Bank Holiday Friday and not exactly quiet. manage to get to hard shoulder (Oh lucky man!) without getting killed. Happens lots of times as we limp home. Saturday Mobilo pick it up to go back to Stratstone and after a lot of hassle I get a Vectra loan car (all they had left on a Bank Holiday weekend and what a horrible car it is, ugly, noisy and the stereo looks like a Currys Far Eastern knock off, no wonder they are cheap). Anybody had similar and what caused it and what was the fix?
PS I guess an electronic plate is what Intel use to serve chips on.
Sorry, not that it makes much difference, its a 220 Avantgarde CDI
