hi all
my 270cdi c class seems to take about 5-7 secs to start after i leave the glowplug light to go out
does anyone know what could be causing this problem
cheers steve

Needs a STAR analysis!

Sounds like it could be fuel delivery issues? Has the fuel filter been changed recently? Is the engine very lumpy when cold? Any cut outs when running?

hi
i have changed the maf sensor air filter and fuel filter
it only cuts out sometimes when i floor it and epc comes up on the dash
it does seem lumpy when cold but once its started it drives good

Could be the MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) - whichever way, it needs to get onto a STAR machine to find out the fault code causing the EPC light.

I ssuspect that the injectors are leaking off too much. Get a leak of test done firstly.

i will scan the codes onto here in abit so i can get some help on them
sorry it starts from page 3 down to 1

Did you get the leak off test done? This needs to be done to eliminate an injector fault.

I have one before where the high pressure pump was faulty. The rail pressure was low and the car cut out when under load or revved hard. If you drove with very light throttle it was fine.

+1 had this before too. Exactly the same symptoms.

Well it turns out my problem is oil travelling up the engine
Loom and getting into my ecu causing connection problems
Can any one help with how to stop this Cheers steve

Find out where the oil is coming from and stop the leak. Them replace the loom.

Any news?
