Morning all.

I have a W203 C320 petrol , I recently replaced all the brake discs and pads , bled the system ( two man.method)as usual but silly me forgot to top up the fluid reservoir on the last bleed and sucked air into the system ,I guess air has made it into ABS Pump.

tried bleeding again not much improvement pedal is a bit spongy... although car stops ok mind u brakes still new.

is there a way to get the air out of ABS system without star?
bought a pressure bleeder and will try again using that .
any tips?
thanks

You might be lucky with the pressure bleeder.....but most modernish cars need software to open all the ABS valves to get a good enough flow to drive out the air.....my wifes A Class and my old ALFA included. There is another way around it if you get stuck involving skidding to a holt on a loose surface and killing the engine before bleeding....but that's a pain. Worked on my Jeep though. 😄

read on here that it can be done with pressure bleeder ,apparently someone cracked open outlet pipes from ABS pump and bleeds it that way

apart from Xentry .. is there any other diagnostic tool that can actuate the ABS valves to help bleed air out?
