W203 ABS sensor and code clearing

I think I have a problem with one of the ABS/Speed sensors. ESP inoperative and cruise control not working.

If I replace the sensors will I still need to get the fault erased or will this happen automatically?

How do you know its a speed senor?

After research and speaking to my local Mercedes specialist this is what I believe to be the issue.

I will be replacing the front 2 ABS sensors tomorrow. Should the fault clear automatically if this was the cause? I have no orange triangle - just the text

Don't go throwing parts at it without knowing the cause.
