W203 - Autobox concern

Ive been informed by a friend that he had a W203 and coolant got in the auto box and due to the cost of sorting it he scrapped it
Was this an early issue or did this problem continue right through production , his was a 2002 car .
Mines a C180K , VIN WDC203046 Shipped 07 - 06 and built in S Africa .
Should i be concerned about this or not

I believe the issue was on cars pre 2004, fairly sure by 06 / 07 it wasn't. Relax it would have accured by now anyway.

Issue was with cars before 2004.
I had a 2004 c320 facelift coupewith valeo radiator and no issues

Just make sure your trans fluid is replaced ..
