i like the grille not to sure about changing the front star,the back looks good as it is,it matches chrome strip and tail pipe

i like the de-badging route. I ended up de-badging my clk in the end.

camerontyler - its actually a petrol so i am not hiding the diesel engine

plus debadging will make any car look much cleaner from the back - why dont u try it on yours and see for yourself!!!

I like it!! I know a black grille looks really good on a silver Merc ! (Last months Mercedes Enthusiast-E55 I think??)

If you are a purist then so be it. Keep your car like it came from the factory.
If you wish to modify your car in any way then do so, you bought it and if the mods are to your liking then go for it. I looked at red calipers but did not suit (IMHO) so changed them to silver. Making your car individual to your tastes is like putting your own stamp on your home We don't all like flowerbeds or decking or concrete patios or else we would all live in similar concrete boxes.
I like your mods so go for it.

Calipers from silver - red - aluminium and now black!

Guys some of the earlier pics show the red calipers. these have now been changed to black. i did try aluminium on one but it didnt look right...so i sprayed the wheel bolts!

Don't like the grill, don't like the star, don't like the red calipers, don't like the backbox.

Like the headlights, like the car, like the colour, like the wheels, surprisingly like the debadge without the re-badge of fake AMG but now looks like your hiding a diesel engine whereas I wear my diesel badge with pride (40-50mpg). I'm guessing it's an Avantgarde?
Have you up-rated the brakes? Discs look drilled and fatter.

Can I ask why you felt the need to abuse such a pretty car?

My C240 is virtually the twin ,it looks good .
