W203 c180 automatic gearbox problem !!plz help

Hi all

I have justed joined and I have just purchased my first Merc, but I have a problem that I hope you guys might be able to help me with.

Its a mercedes c class c180 2.0L elegance 2002 semi automatic UK model 70,000 miles and the problem is i fell the gearbox changing & hold the speed of the car for like a second or two after that release the speed & fell like light knock happen & sometime it take longer to change the gear even on W mode but not all the time i went to 2 different Mercedes independent specialist mechanics put it on star machine twice & no errors & i changed the gearbox oil as a recontamination of 1 of those mechanics but the problem still exist so if any one can help me or had a similar problem & been fixed or ideas please post

Could be a leaky gearbox. Is there any drips when the car is running or is the underside of the gearbox covered in oil at all?

1 A lot of problems are caused by incorrect gearbox fluid level
2 Take it to MB dealer (don't bother with anyone else if you can help it) and get that checked (cost about £20 or free if you ask nicely)
3 If that is correct then perhaps this is the cold running issue? From cold the car is designed to hold the gears for longer so it feels like it should change up but doesn't.

This is meant to warm up the engine faster and is not a fault.

Thank you for the quick replay for the leaking gearbox i checked & there's nothing dripping while i'm moving or the car parked i'll take it to MB dealer & ask them to check it & i'll keep you updated guys Thanks
