Hello you all,
please somebody give me a help out here...
my C Class Estate multicontour seats do not inflate anymore...
noticed it yesterday when trying to inflate a bit more the side support blatters...
no air inflating in... just deflating worked until no air left inside the cushions...
where can I find the PSE pump and test the fuses that provide protection to the system?
could it be the pump itself?
can it be anything else?
both front seats stoped inflating at the same time...
does anyone had a previous experience like this before?

Most likely suspect is the oken sieko rolling pump that will be tucked away in a lump of foam rubber in the back of the car. The fix is easy enough if you have the touch of a midwife, open up the box and strip the motor at the armature end then just clean up the comutator segments and cut the insulators between them back very gently. Build it all up and it will work like new,you will see a carbonised ring where the brushes have been arcing you need to clean this with something like super servisol electrical contact cleaner.

Take some pics as you strip to refer to on the rebuild, the foam can be a bit of pig without them.

W203 multi contour seats now working

Hi, once again the MBclub forum has saved me a fair wedge of cash. Quite a quick job, took me about 45mins including stripping motor twice. Idea of using threads to separate the brushes was genius and without this I have no idea how you could get the motor back together. I think there is a quality issue with the motor assay as the brushes are curved to fit the radius of the armature however they are installed 90 degrees out of correct alignment. Resulting is 2 very small contact points. I reprofiled the brushes using a nail file and then placed on test using RC 11v battery for 2 min bursts with 10min cool down. Re stripped , cleaned and now have brushes which are correctly profiled and hopefully reliability.
