W203 C220 CDI Coolant change

Can any one advise me on where to access the engine block drain plug which is referenced in the Haynes Manual (30. Coolant renewal - 3.), there is a pic 30.3 which is as much use as a chocolate fire guard in locating the drain plug.
Also any tips on bleeding the system during refill would be well received.

I wouldn't bother draining it from there unless it's sludged up. Just drain the rad from the tap. Use MB coolant too.

It self bleeds. Just leave the heater on full and go for a run round the block. Then top up.

another trick to get the most amount of coolant out without going the near the block drain is clean the reservoir area with some brake cleaner, undo the tap at the rad - and blow down it being careful not to suck only blow

oh and have a glass of water on hand to rinse with after.

This is common practice for me anyway
