Hi all, my C32 feels a bit tired and soggy suspension-wise. It's a 53 plate on 66k miles. I've already had new tyres fitted, which helped a lot, as did a track rod end. But the dampers are tired and it all just feels a bit wobbly and non-confidence-inspiring.

I was on the phone to Ollie earlier, who was saying how good the Bilstein kits are. The matched spring/damper Bilstein kit, he was saying, should lower the car another 20mm. I think the car already seems pretty low, so I'd be keen to know how mine sits compared to anyone else with one. I just measured the gap from the centre of each wheel to the highest part of the arch. The numbers are:

Front: 14" (355mm)
Rear: 13 1/4" (340mm)

It's an estate.

How does that compare with others out there? Am I right in thinking the C32 runs the same ride height as other Sport suspension equipped W203s? If so, keen to hear how yours are. Also, if you've lowered further, how is it for you? I'm keen not to lower for reasons of practicality - lots of speed bumps round here.

Cheers

Then maybe coilovers (where you can set the ride height to your needs) will be the answer.

I may have quoted a little high on the phone for them.

Standard suspension, 18" wheels.

Front 345mm
Rear 340mm
