My W203 2005 drivers door locking mechanism machine guns/jumps up and down when I lock the car - have to press the lock button a few times until it ends up in the down position and locks the door.
I bought a new spring kit for the actuator - I believe this is caused by a broken spring - and it takes a bit of time to dissemble to door and take the blighter apart! Drilling rivets etc.
A local mechanic says it wont work and I need a new door mechanism...........
I like taking things apart - before I do - have any Pro's had any experience of the spring kits - what are my chances of success?
I understand this is a frequent fault with Merc central locking.
