Hi All,

Firstly, I must apologise as this question must have been asked before, but I can't find specific answers.

I have a 58 registered CLC180K which is fitted with a standard Audio 20. There is no phone cradle, connections or probably mic. I'm more interested in getting bluetooth phone capability with multi function steering wheel working, than iPod connectivity.

I'm considering fitting either an MF2830 or an MF2860 as a direct replacement, as it seems these are fitted from 2009 onwards. Why? They seem to be a reasonable price on EBay. I've been quoted nearly £1000 for a Pioneer fitted and £400 for a Parrot System, including box to make the steering wheel buttons work.

I guess I will also need to fit the mic and bluetooth antenna kit.

Can anyone tell me:

What's the difference between MF2830 and Mf2860?
Would they both be a straight swap?
Will I need to have my car coded for either to work?

Advice much appreciated.

David

Thanks Miro. Are you saying that bluetooth might not work if I upgrade to either of the above units?

I think its the mf2850 for the CLC, I have fitted one to my 2004 w203 estate along with the media interface, so I now have Bluetooth, MP3 6 disc changer and USB connectivity

Thanks Dennis. Looks like I need to do more research on this :-(
