Hi all,

Just wondering whether anyone knows if there is a way to close all the windows on a W203 (with the original key fob) when you press the lock button?

Any help is much appreciated :)

Thanks

Full closure works via infrared and not via Radio frequency that operates the central locking.

If you look on the driver side door handle you will see a IR receiver, aim the key at this and press and hold the lock / unlock button.

Be warned though, it is not a very reliable system :)

As above, they are prone to water in the door handle as if its very close you need a new sensor.

Wow, never noticed the sensor on the door handle!

Just tried this and works.

Thanks for your help :)

I have the IR sensor in the door handle but seems not to work. Any ideas?

Mine stopped working too, but mysteriously started working again after a service was carried out. Maybe it can be reset by STAR during a service?

A. You can also use the IR to open all windows before getting into the car e.g. on a hot summer day.

B. As others said it is unreliable. It works better at night, or if you place the fob on the sensor itself and cover them both so that they are protected from sunlight while you press the button.

It works
