W203 Estate boot measurements

I am a newbie here. Am considering buying a 2005 ish W203 estate, having previously briefly run a 2011 C220 CDI estate.

I have a peculiar question if any members here are able to help... could you tell me the internal measurements of the boot - specifically the width between the wheel arches. The first task will be to move a piece of furniture so I want to make sure it would fit before making the journey to view the car I am considering!

Between the arches is 87cm on mine.

I measured mine - 34.5 inches.

Worth also checking the width of the tailgate opening isn’t less than that !

The thing I noticed in our S203 was the slope of the tailgate window, really restricted the height of load one carries.
Definitely a "lifestyle estate" not a load lugger....

Mine was spectacularly unreliable , and not a patch on my W123 and W124 estates for load carrying ability .
