W203 (Facelift) Evo Sunroof

Howdy all,

Before I investigate further could someone inform me as to whether or not the sunroof for my car should auto-close? It auto-opens but when I push the button all the way forward it just closes for the duration of the button press. I found a previous post suggesting that it should although that was for a W220 and I'm not sure if they're all the same?

From memory (on my W203), I think its a double click switch - like the window switches.
Click one - opens or closes to the point of release.
Click two - opens or closes all the way.

I've got the same problem. The manual says it can be done - I've tried programing it but it didn't work for me.

However, it does auto close with the remote when locking the car.

I have an 07 c class coupe. It only 1 touch opens. you have to hold the button to close it. Don't ask me why I think its silly.

Well indeed. Mine is a '56 C230 and the manual does indeed suggest it's possible but I'm not able to. Glad someone else is in the same boat

my 53 reg is the same, two stage one touch opening, but I have to hold all the way to close it

Haven't looked in the book, but I know it isn't one touch
