Hello, All.

I have just installed sw plate + door modules + folding mirrors I got from Steve onto my w203, and was wondering if it is possible to program it to respond to ignition / key on/off.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Where abouts are you and someone may help or even point you to someone near

I am in Portugal, but people here seem to know very little (so do I) about it. They keep saying "only from factory...", and I'm sure there must be a way...

I take it from your answer it is possible?

Tks

Not possible - absolutely do able. Many people on the forum have this done; including myself.
If you can find someone in portugal with a Star Diagnostic machine then your halfway there.

How old is your car? Is it the facelifted W203? I believe only the facelifted one can be programmed to auto fold the mirrors.

If any doubts - contact Alfie at Comand Online Ltd - he is THE expert.

Crockers - He's got the items from Steve so I presume he has all the relevant door control modules etc

What you need to do as you don't have DAS is remove one of the door cards and take a note of the door module part number and then try and find out if they support auto-fold.

I have a feeling they won't due to the age but you never know!

Also i think the front sam may need to be changed, the problem is, no DAS no auto-fold!

So, at least the Merc guys should be able to do it? I have the STAR software (bought from John Coupland's site), but miss the mux...

I was thinking, like programming the immo key to open just the driver's door, there could be a way to do the same for the mirrors...

Tks

See above what Wully has wrote about the door control modules. Did Steve mention to you about the door control module would need to be compatable or changed?? Am I right in thinking it was steve mbenznl?? Still tho no mux no can do.

Yours is a 2003 and mines is a 2002 - with my modules it's can't be done and i have access to DAS.

The solution - get the part numbers, speak to your local dealer / independant and take it from there.

Anyone - Can this be altered with a standard DAS?

Yeah if the DCM are correct then standard DAS will do it

As I said, Steve MBenzNl got me those parts, DCM's are newer than original, with more plugs, including auto dimming mirrors function, which I still have to get the glasses for...

Does this help?

I'm sure Steve would have sold you the proper ones and left nothing out, so yeah I would hazzard a guess and say yes, now you need to find someone who is good with a star machine

Ok, thank you all for help

Regards

I thought it was dependant on the SAM unit? I think you need the facelift one.

Same question

I have the same question - but I don't have COMAND, is it possible?
(BTW I'm in South London)

Same question

C32 AMG with Auto dimming mirrors , electric memory seats, command etc.
