W203 front seat goes down but not up

Morning all,
I have a 2005 W203 (C Class estate). The drivers seat will only motor down. There is no movement when I select up. It tilts forwards and backwards without any restriction.
Any one have any ideas?

Just like the window operation, they can lose their calibration. If you motor it all the way down and then hold the button down for 5 or six seconds it will reprogram the end stop and then the up might work again. I appreciate this is not without risk if you are a shorter person. With the Mercedes diagnostic machine we can perform a full automatic seat normalisation procedure, but you’ll need an independent specialist for that.
