W203 harman Becker ece head unit playing up

I’ve got a harman Becker high headunit ece that is playing up it started the other day was working fine The problem is it keeps going off and on and u press the on button and u only just get the Mercedes logo and then it disappears and ten or it could be half an hour then it comes back on working fine till it does it again...
If anyone had any tips or have this happening and could point me in the right solution to fix it

Is this an original MB unit?

If so, is it COMAND NTG2 with the optional Harman Kardon audio system?

I am assuming you are getting the same fault when the unit is on the bench, so we can exclude issues with the car's power supply.

I’ve not had the unit going out of the car just was checking the plugs where ok it dose sound like a power issue
