Hmm, whilst rummaging the passenger footwell, I thought I'd pull the trim, and the carbon filters and see if I could spot the motor making the dreaded clicking. .
Indeed- I could see it, the clicking flap!

So, how do I get to the motor that drives this fella? I pulled the fan motor and impeller but it wasn't through there? Is this the devils job, should I put up with it??

Its the fella here, bottom left of the aperture here:
(bear in mind, I am on my back, top of my head towards the engine:

For orientation, zooked out a bit so you can see the fan which is essentially under the CD change in my glovebox type area.

If my memory serves me correct, the full dashboard has to be removed to get at the motor.

As above, it is a full dash out to get at the charcoal filter flap motor.

Yep, happened to me within 1 hr of picking up my C55! Thankfully warranty job!
