hi
does anyone know if my 2002 w203 center console and instrument cluster can be upgraded to the 2005+ facelift version bits and ifso is it just a straight swap?

A W203 from 2002 is a preface car and therefore it uses the d2b electronics system for central console and cluster communication. The post facelift cars use MOST a fibre optic based system which it entirely different. It is possible to convert your car from d2b to MOSt as Sunman in the USA did it to C320. To do this mod you will nead to remove the entire interior of the car and replace all the electronics and control units in the vehicle in order that the car runs on the MOST system. Once you have done that you can plug and play with the central control units!

hmmmm me thinks easy option would be to trade in and buy the facelift model!!!
