Hi guys,

Have installed a new pioneer Avic F-700BT nav unit in my w203 coupe, with pioneer car-pi-131 adaptor for steering controls however have a few issues, firstly I seem to get absolutely no signal at all from factory radio aerial, could this be something to do with it needing to be powered? if so, which wire is this on factory iso loom?

Probably pin #5 from A-connector but you should really give your model year, the CL203 body style is still in production but the radio is quite different.

Hi Diesel Benz,

Silly of me not to have given the model year, its a 2003 53 plate... does this make a difference.

Many Thanks.

Diesel Benz,

you were 100% correct, tested with multimeter and found pin 5 to be correct, radio works perfectly now!

Cheers.

Hi 117,
Just saw your gallery.
I had been considering an AVIC unit, so would like to know how you got on. In particular there was a thread a long time ago which had a forum link which was a bit negative over the reliability of the units & the firmware.
I still think it will be the best option for my c-coupe (03/03 car), but since 'excursion's threads, I may upgrade dash first!
