w203 puddle lights

Hi guys bought my self a w203 c180k sport edition last saturday and i love it, anyway i changed my grab handle yesterday and when i removed the doorcard i noticed there was already a cut out for puddle lights i just wanted to know what parts are needed and what wiring is involved. can the puddle lights only be installed in the front or at the back aswell?

Take a look at this post, I followed it on my car & found the job really easy, by the way I used LEDs which give a tremendous output.

Does anyone know the part number for the proper loom don't really want to bodge one together

The original puddle lights harness has been LONG discontinued however there is a replacement along with all the parts you need:

Harness - A639 540 70 09 - x2
Light Units - A126 820 13 01 - x2
Bulbs - N000000 002723 - x2

On the old harness you had to crimp contact bushings but with this new harness they are pre-crimped but in a different plug connector which is included. Just extract from the plug connector provided and insert into the connector that goes into the door module. Simples !

I have puddle lights fitted to mine (factory fitted) and they are only fitted to the front doors. The back door card is much narrower at the bottom, so if any are available they would need to be much narrower and completely different fitting.
