Hi Chaps, wonder if anyone can help with this: I have got a 55 plate w203 estate and the srs warning comes up but I have noticed if you put a weight of 1 or 2 kilos on the seat (an indian takeaway or pack of beers) the warning disapears. If I have a passenger in the seat everything is OK, the seatbelt warning comes on untill they buckle up.

It appears as if the seat sensor is out of calibration. Question is can you adjust this or is it a new seat sensor

Thanks Tim

As jaymanek said.

I had the exact same problem. Tried everything, problem only resolved once Olly (black55) replaced the front passenger occupancy sensor. The thing costs £124+VAT, plus fitting if like me you don't go down the DIY route.

Not too big a job though, you need to remove the passenger seat and take apart the seat cushion, easier on cloth/fabric seats that on leather seats.

If you are not convinced, get the codes read first.

Good luck.
