Car
C270CDi Estate (late 2004 facelift model) - Bought 2005, Sold 2022.
Got in my car yesterday after not using it for a few days and "SRS Fault - visit workshop" came up and stayed on the display.

Wiggled the connectors, jumped up and down on the passenger seat, did-up and undid the seatbelts, but it's still there.

This is the first real fault my car has had so it's a bit of a shock, as it comes up to 5 years old. The car is going in for MOT next week anyway but now I'm wondering how much of a battle I'm going to have getting SRS fault rectification covered under ServicePlus?

ETA: Sorry, typo in title. W203 of course.

Had the same fault on my W220, all covered by service+, so you should'nt worry. Its a real shame they do not do it ant more. Have now got rid of the S class & got a Cls due to the number of faults I had with the car & service+ running out on it, in total service+ paid out nearly £6000 in repairs, well worth the £65/Month:)

It's been a while since Service Plus expired on our ML, but based upon my experience it will be a simple affair.

I've heard they're trying to tighten up and their first response is to refuse almost everything now.

It's been very reassuring having ServicePlus and I still have 8 mths to go, but I'm way, way out of pocket on it, in part due to lower mileage than I expected. The only thing they've paid for out for is a B service, 2 MOT's and a brake fluid change. They said at the last MOT that the discs could do with changing due to corrosion but ServicePlus wouldn't let them.

Just to update this, didn't get a very good explanation from the Service Advisor but the car had a wiring fault in the steering column - somthing to do with the connection between the slip ring and the airbag squib.

Anyway, turns out its a known issue on some MB models, there was a supporting service bulletin about it. Seems MB picked up the cost rather than ServicePlus, although I guess that's probably an internal wrangle and people without ServicePlus might not be so fortunate. 3.5 hours work, as some new wiring had to be soldered into place, so I'm glad not to have paid for that.

Glad you got it sorted:thumb:
