W203 wing mirror replacement complete

I'm replacing complete lh wing mirror assembly as having problems with LEDs and breaking wires. Does the inside door panel have to come off to plug in the wiring ? C class W203 2004

Sadly on a W203 yes the entire door card does have to come off to get to the plug connectors. The W211 has a nice pop out trim panel but nothing like this for the W203.

I've recently had to replace a couple of broken wires to the door mirror on our 2005 W203 C200 sports Coupe
Yes - The door card does have to come off.
Sad to say - It's an utter pig to get it to go back correctly.

You might also find the bolts holding the mirror on look like standard Torx but they have one spline less than regular Torx and have the anti tamper pin in the middle of the bolt.

Widely available online stores but a PITA to discover you do not have the correct bit once you have removed the entire door card.

A set of Torx TR '5 corners/5 star' is what you need. Well at least I did on my 2006 W203 C class.
