W203 Wiper arm difference.

Hi,

I bought a W203 Estate and decided to buy new wipers. The set has arrived today and tge rear and the front passenger wiper are old style looking ones, bo problem with replacing them. The drivers side has the aero blade and the arm itself is thicker so I can not fit the old style wiper blade. Is it normal or someone has changed the arm in the past?

The fronts should be the same so I guess someone has changed the arm. Mine's the facelift model (from mid 2004 onwards) and has specific fit aero wipers on the front. I think the rear is just the normal hook type fitting.

Ok cool. Will get the second habd one and replace it. Ist is straightforward to undo the old arm or do i need a special tool?

You might need a puller if it is stuck.

I think I'd be minded to just buy the appropriate wiper blade!

Maybe you're right but two different wipers don't look good. Anyway I bought the second hand arm.
